CalcTax.ca ("the Site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. Your Calculator Data Stays on Your Device

All tax calculations are performed entirely in your web browser. The numbers you enter into our calculators (income, deductions, contributions) are not sent to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with any third party. Your financial data never leaves your device.

2. Information We Collect

Analytics

We currently do not use any third-party analytics services. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before any data collection begins.

Cookies

The Site itself does not set cookies. However, if you click an affiliate link (e.g., to Wealthsimple), the destination site may set cookies on your device to track the referral. These cookies are governed by that site's own privacy policy, not ours.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing cookies. Disabling cookies will not affect the functionality of our calculators.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention. We do not access or use this data for marketing or user profiling.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your income, tax, or financial information entered into calculators
• Your name, email, or contact information (unless you voluntarily contact us)
• Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) or any government identification

4. How We Use Information

Any information collected via server logs is used solely for security and performance purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

When you click an affiliate link and leave our Site, the destination site's privacy policy applies. Our current affiliate partners are:

This Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
